Can transmission fluid be recycled with motor oil?

What do you store used motor oil in?

Make sure the cap is tightly sealed on the container, and store it in a cool, dry place away from heat, sunlight, kids, and pets. Many auto parts stores also sell drip pans that double as used oil receptacles.
How do you dispose of engine oil and water?
Let the oil fill into the second container completely. Turn the water off. Pour the oil into an acceptable recyclable container like a milk jug. Take the used oil to a local recycle center and dump it into the collecting container.
Can you dump motor oil outside?
Never dump oil onto the ground, throw it out with your regular garbage, or flush it down a drain. It’s a major toxic pollutant that needs to be treated accordingly. In many locales, putting oil filters into a landfill is against the law, so you may risk a fine.
